This year I’ve turned 15 and here in New Zealand, that means I could finally start driving but before that I had to take the Learner’s Driver Test and that meant having to study the New Zealand Road Code. In the road code it teaches you about the rules of the road and what you need to do with your car if you want to drive it. For the last few weeks I went through rigorous studying because in the test, if you get more than three wrong answers you fail and since it costs $79 per try, failure was not an option. The thought of my dad telling me that if I fail I’d have to find the money to retake the test ran through my head as I studied, contributing as a driving factor to my study.

On the 14th of March 2009, Liston College held its Annual School Gala. All schools hold galas once a year as a fundraiser. For the past four weeks Liston had been collecting second-hand belongings and produce from students so that it could be sold at the gala. |
